Alice In Wonderland by Urban Decay

First off I can't wait to see Tim Burton's version of the movie, I'm getting my tickets pre-sale on Fandango and everything. In addition to my excitement (hello Johnny Depp!) Now I've received news that Urban Decay is coming out with a special palette in honor of the movie. I SO want this.

Tucked inside a hidden drawer there are 16 eye shadows, (i.e. White Rabbit, Jabberwocky, and Oraculum), travel-size Primer Potion and two 24/7 Eye Pencils. I'm waiting for confirmation from my friend Tammy @UD to find out the names of all the products included in the new shadow box.

I'm fascinated with the art work, it even includes a mirror in the middle. Oh Urban Decay how much I love thee....let me count my favorites!!

Will you guys snatch this one up as well???

Erno Laszlo TranspHuse Lip pHixative ~ Review

I've been using this lip plumper for the better part of a month, and I"m really liking it.

TranspHuse is applied using a roller ball and goes on extremely easy. It's really glossy shiny without being sticky. It's not a huge difference in plump size, but definitely noticeable.

Holiday Nails....My Way

I was feeling extremely festive for Christmas so I decided to show my holiday side my doing something different with my nails. Usually I just get a manicure but I received the Wizard of Ohhs Ahz Collection from Irene @ China Glaze and I really fell in love with the Ten Man - a silver frost with micro silver glitter in it of course you need red for Christmas so I used Ruby Pumps - the bestest red glitter polish EVER.

Now before I applied ANY color whatever so ever I put on Anchor basecoat by Zoya. It fills in the ridges on my nails to give a flawless starting point, awesome stuff.

I applied Ten Men to all of my nails except my ring fingers where I used Ruby Pumps. Another way to rock this look is in a french manicure style, with Ten Men as the all over color and Ruby Pumps as the highlight.

I will definitely have something different for New Years.

A New Me...

A very special thank you to Lindsay for sending over Kelly Van Gogh's new Root Rehab hair color system. WOO HOO

Being that the new year is almost upon us I figured it was time to get my hair color situation in order. Something subtle but a definite change. Lindsay sent over Root Rehab in 4RO - Light Red Orange Brown. Sounds a lot scarier then it actually is. It is a refined reddish brown, that makes an immediate impact on your hair. I am definitely one of those chicas that colors at home. I am not interested in spending hours at a salon. I'd rather do the work myself in the comfort of my home while watching movies.

My hair before was definitely on the frightening side of out growing some highlights. As you can see in these before photos my poor hair was screaming for justice.

Inside the box is a pair of black gloves, a professional application bottle, the color and developer as well as sample pa shampoo & conditioner. The cool part about this system is you save yourself money when it's time to retouch your color you only need to purchase the refill kit.

The process is super easy, put the developer and color in the the applicator bottle and shake super well. Put on the super cool black gloves and your ready to apply the color. There is no chemical smell with this kit, which I found fascinating. I barely noticed I had the product on.

After 45 minutes I rinsed and used the included Shampoo & Conditioner....after blow drying my hair BAM.here are the results:

Polished Pomp Half Up

Begin with clean dry hair.
Section out your crown and clip away.
Using Pureology SprayGel, smooth and spray each side back to a sleek, tight finish. Start with one side, then pin with two bobby pins in the center back in a horizontal fashion. Repeat on the other side.
Crimp first two sections near the front hairline (no need to do the entire section unless working with very fine hair) then tease the entire top and crown. Spray with InCharge Flexible Styling Spray. Smooth top section leaving as much height as possible and making sure to cover the bobby pins in the back.
Finish by crimping only the top section of the hair left down in the back to give an edge without being retro. Finish with a final spray of Glossing Mist Shine Spray.

Polished Pomp Chignon

Begin with clean dry hair.
Section out your crown and clip away.
Using Pureology Spray Gel, smooth and spray each side back to a sleek, tight finish. Start with one side, then pin with two bobby pins in the center back in a horizontal fashion. Repeat on the other side.
Crimp first two sections near the front hairline (no need to do the entire section unless working with very fine hair) then tease the entire top and crown. Spray with InCharge. Smooth top section leaving as much height as possible and making sure to cover the bobby pins in the back.
Pull remaining hair in the back into an off center slick ponytail. Spray entire area with InCharge Flexible Styling Spray before crimping only two sections of your pony. Make a knot or bun with remaining hair. Use two long bobby pins to secure chignon. Pull a few random pieces out to give an uncontrived and modern look.
