Review: Hourglass Cosmetics Viel Primer

I've gotten some emails asking what is the best way to prep skin prior to makeup application and asking if there are any secrets to getting makeup to last longer. The best weapon is PRIMER! You can ask anyone who uses makeup on a daily basis the basic rule is  moisturize and apply primer. This is not a step you should skip if your trying to look your best.

Hourglass has an incredible primer, called Veil Mineral Primer with SPF15. This primer is so freaking good, like really good. I have gone an entire day with only the primer and face powder (and of course I had to fill in the eyebrows!) I have gotten so many compliments on how nice, clear and glowing my skin is. I almost don't want to share the secret. Shocking too since I think I'm getting sick.

Veil Mineral Primer is on the pricey side $52 for 1oz however the benefits far out weigh the splurge. My makeup free face has stayed glowing and fresh all day. I have not reapplied my powder (or made an effort to look glam) all day. 

Veil Mineral Primer boasts a clean satin finish that helps keep make up fresh looking while extending it's wear. It's made with Earth-derived minerals such as Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide which shields skin from harmful UVA/UVB rays. Fills in wrinkles and imperfections while creating a soft focus effect to improve skins overall appearance. Imparts moisture to dehydrated skin. It creates a water resistant and sweatproof layer. It's also fragrance, oil and paraben free.

I know you want evidence, however my runny nose and dark sick circles are not photographing well. So hopefully tomorrow I can show off how fabulous this product really is.

I'm also told this primer is absolutely amazing when paired with Hourglass' Veil Fluid Makeup and the Oxygen Mineral Powder. Hmmm can you guess where I'll be on Friday? LOL
