Make Up For Ever @ The Vessel S/S2011

Another Make Up For Ever Alliance artist, AJ Crimson was the key makeup artist for the Vessel, by Lois Spring/Summer 2011. AJ was inspired by the gorgeous colors used through out the collection as well as their structure. To bring the look to life, AJ created this colorful cat eye in a bold blue that gives off and simple vibe.

Complexion & Cheeks: AJ kept everything fresh and sunny. Make Up For Ever Face and Body Foundation was applied first all over the face to give a healthy spring-time glow. Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream #10  was dusted on the cheeks and blended into the skin for a soft wash of orange color. To illuminate the face Make Up For Ever Star Powder #940 was swept along the upper cheek bones and the top of the nose.

Eyes: The eyes are the focal point of this entire look. A strong cat eyes was created using either Make Up For Ever Aquarelle #3 (blue) or Aquarelle #6 (green) on alternating models. Aquarelle was applied to the eyes using a liner brush to create a modified cat eye shape - the wing was extended beyond the outer edge of the eye for a burst of color, and there was additional detail on the lid for a peak-a-boo effect.

Lips: They were kept neutral and muted slightly using MUFE Face and Body Foundation to create a clean canvas that really allowed the eye stand out.

I really really love the blue cat eye. I would totally wear this for a girls night out. I'd be a little more daring and add a pinky gloss to my lips.

What are your feelings on this look?
