Napoleon Perdis For LaQuan Smith S/S2011

On Wednesday I was invited backstage at LaQuan Smith to meet my idol Napoleon Perdis. YES the man himself!!!! I was stocked Mr. Perdis creates magic with a magic brush and his creativity is limitless. It was looking at his creations and hearing his quotes that sparked a real interest in learning more about makeup. Anyway being that I'm a 9-5er I missed my opportunity to meet the great one (insert hysterical cry here) I was able to score some amazing shots and a video of the look he created for the show. Plus a sweet face chart!

Stunning I KNOW!!! That's gold leaf on her lips. I really really want to recreate this look and maybe post a video...where can I get gold leaf?

I absolutely flipped out that models would even look my way to let me take the photos. Made me feel super important. And this one model above with the pink scarf is an absolute sweetheart!
