Behind The Scenes Hair - Dancing With The Stars

I will admit I don't watch Dancing with the Stars. I'm sorry...its just one of those shows I could never get into. However that doesn't mean when I'm flicking channels I'm not stopped in my tracks by the stunning looks they put together for them.

I was able to score the hairstyle highlight from the week of November 1st and I really wanted to share:

This week was the 200^th episode spectacular on Dancing with the Stars, which meant the couples had to re-enact previous season’s winning performances from former contestants. Former contestant Kelly Osbourne made a special appearance to help with voting while sporting a hairstyle reminiscent of her days on the show.

Here are some quick tips on how to re-create the following looks:

To achieve Kelly Osbourne’s 50’s era ponytail:

Brush hair into a ponytail at the crown of head and then attach the “Dancing with the Stars” Flirtini ($39: ulta.com) for impressing swing and volume!

To achieve Jennifer Grey’s sleek chignon:

After parting hair off to the side, sweep it into a bun and simply attach the “Dancing with the Stars” Glamarama ($20: ulta.com) which features a soft full bun attached to a clip-in comb ensuring that this look will stay in place while you dance the night away.

What I didn't know is most of these styles are achieved using "extensions". Most styles include pieces from the New Dancing with the Stars Hair Extension collection. I'm very intrigued, I've always wanted to try extensions but I still haven't worked up the guts to pick something up. I'm really thinking hard about getting something from this new line.
