I happen to be a flat iron fanatic.
I was never able to master a blow dryer I can never get my hair to look like I just stepped out of the salon using on. I find blowers to be bulky and very hard for me to get a handle on. If I do my hair myself it always comes out way too poofy and full of frizz. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I gave up on blowers a long time ago and have stayed true to flat irons.
I have gone through a variety of flat irons, it can be difficult find the right one for you. I've tried everything from Conair to Amika. It really depends on what you need your flat iron to do. I would always suggest asking your friends and checking out reviews.
I'm pretty exited I received a press letter to try the new Karmin Flat Iron.
This is the Karmin G3 Salon Pro Black Tourmaline Ceramic Flat Iron / Hair Straightener (1"Thick).
For those that don't know Tourmaline Ceramic plates distribute heat more evenly which is less damaging for your hair, since it eliminates those hot spots you get with cheaper versions. I always look for ceramic plates.
I've been watching the video that's up on the website I'm dying to get my hands on this. It heats up super fast, and you can create endless looks from super straight to beautiful waves and curls. I love the versatility and the spinning cord, I've been dreaming of a cord I can't tangle.

I recently purchased a Babyliss Flat Iron that I absolutely LOVE! As a hairstylist, I am using it on different hair types all day long and have always struggled to find an iron that works well on fine hair that I may just need to smooth out as well as course, curly hair that needs a serious straightening. This tool does that for me! And even better, it's hot pink with a heart tattoo design on it! Sooo cute! :) (P.S. I just received the Streekers today and we've been playing with it at the salon all afternoon!)
