MAC Make Me Over Contest

I just read on WWD that MAC is reaching out to us makeup addicts with their new contest MAC Me Over.

This is a US based competition that will go live on NOVEMBER 15th @ www.macmeover.com .
The contest is designed to tap into the fan base to find the new real-person face for the fall 2011 color collection!!! Entrants must be 18 and over, and you'll be asked to submit a video or photo of yourself using the phrase "MAC me over because..." and complete it with "style, heart and soul"  This sounds SO COOL!!

“People sometimes have the perception that you can only get crazy, intense makeup from MAC,” said Gager. “But we can also give you the most flattering makeup possible. We wanted to showcase the versatility of the brand, and it sounded like fun to have lots of people tell us why they’d like a MAC makeover. We’re hoping we get entries which truly reflect our creed: all races, all ages, all sexes. This contest isn’t about who is the greatest looking — it is about who has the best style.”

Entries for the contest will be accepted through Dec.20th until 11:59pm. Entries will then begin the judging process which will be helmed by Gager himself. Selected entries will be featured on macmeover.com  :) You'll also find plenty of information from the MAC artists' twitter accounts and the MAC Facebook Fan page, all will be providing updates, countdowns and breaking news.

Six winners will be chosen and flown to NYC to be photographed for the 2011 Fall campaign. Winners will be announced on August 2011 with their images being viewed at MAC stores and counters throughout the world. They are even hoping to make this an annual event.
