Review: E.L.F Cosmetics

I've always been on the fence with E.L.F Cosmetics. They just seemed to good to be true. After numerous emails from you lovelies that I need to try them out I gave in and ordered a bunch products you guys said I needed to try out asap.

Into my basket went an assortment of products for entirely for the eyes. I figured it wouldn't be such a be

I adore felt tip eyeliners, they are the absolutely the best invention ever. The easiest to use and the right one will look just as fabulous as a pure liquid liner. Can you believe these waterproof eyeliners are only a DOLLAR, un peso!! ONE...so I bought two. LOL you know for variety. I picked up Midnight (a deep navy blue) and Ash (a smokey gray) two colors that are very hard to find everywhere else.
The points on both pens are super sharp so you can create the thinniest of lines or build up. After repeated use the ends tend to bend like any other marker so you have to be careful you don't press too hard so they sleek tip will last longer. Keep it light and these should last you some time.
ELF Waterproof Eyeliner Pen - Midnight - $1
For some reason the Midnight looks more plum on my skin, but it's more blue than you see here. It borders on a this blue black that works really nice when you want to add a little more pop than your standard black eyeliner.
ELF Waterproof Eyeliner Pen - Ash - $1
Building up Ash on the left of the swatch you can see it gets this soft black color. The variations are subtle it's not some all out boom difference but it's enough to catch that much needed pop for the cooler weather. Being they are only a dollar each they are so worth having. I'm going to order the Plum and Coffee versions as well.

I'm in a cream eyeshadow phase right now and elf seems to have an extensive collection at the moment. I'm still metallics obsessed so I ordered the Cream Eyeshadow in Bronzed.
Isn't that color to die for! Stunning...and a steal at $3.00 you get a full 0.35oz for that price. It has a great texture its really easy to apply and blends pretty seamlessly. I really was worried about the quality for the price but I'm happy with this purchase. The swatches online make it seem really glittery but it's no where near that. It's a sheer bronzed gold that's really lovely to wear as a neutral.
It's more brown than bronze but it works so well and it's looks sick paired with a dirty gold. Everyone loved this color, I wore it on Thanksgiving and it received rave reviews no one believed it was only three bucks. It's more matte than shimmer but that suites me just fine.

Now you can't buy a cream eyeshadow without picking up a cream eyeliner. At least that's the way I think about things. LOL
I'm sure you can see a pattern forming...LOL but look how gorgeous that copper is! It's that side of brown that makes you think of falling leaves and wine by the fire! Just let me be okay I needed this.
I personally think it's more coffee than copper but who cares the color is phenomenal and it's only $3.00 This studio collection is fast become my new everyday staples.
There is an included brush when you buy this eyeliner but I find it to be much too tiny. I prefer to use my longer handled brush, it applies cleanly with lots of pigmentation. It's such a pretty copper. I'm thinking if I should invest in getting a few others. Does anyone else use these on the regular?

Because I have a very strong addiction to eye shadows, I had to pick up this holiday set. It's currently sold out but you guys should really be on the look out for when this is back in stock.
This is the Bright Quad Collection, included in this kit are four duo eye shadows and an brush/eyeliner pencil. I'm a little baffled by the pencil brush combination but the shadows looked fun.

Most of these are pretty sheer, perfect if your learning how to blend colors together. You can build up to the desired look. Believe me it takes practice I'm still learning how to properly get the colors to look more natural and blending out those harsh lines. I would definitely suggest this kit for you newbies, a bargain at only $5.00

I've never tried a matte shadow, and figured at $3.00 now was the time to really test one out.
Smoke was calling my name from afar. It's that soft grey you just need in your makeup case. The brush is included but again it's pretty tiny I prefer my brush, and would keep this one in my bag for touch ups.
I did the swatch dry on the left and wet on the right. I've never worked with a matte shadow but I find the texture to be really interesting like a fine baby powder. Is that normal for matte powder shadows? this is going to be a fantastic color for my smoky eyes. It's subtle and a clean gray you can really play with.

and finally I absolutely needed a teal eyeliner. I'm not sure for what but I needed it.

It's such an insane holiday favorite of mine. The color brings out brown eyes and is such an attention grabber. Plus its just really fun.
It's just like any other eyeliner pencil. I do love that it is super creamy and blendable so you can play with it.

It's a beautiful blue green I've fallen instantly in love with.Tell m that doesn't scream Aimee dBeautyJunkie :)

I really have to start putting up my daily looks again I've been slacking with the camera time. I've officially been converted. I'm in love with the liners and that matte shadow. Is there anything I need to add to my shopping cart. There is a sale going on @ELF right now!!
