Review: Nars Eye Shadows

I'm always on the fence about Nars, I've never really liked their Orgasm blush. I don't get the rave reviews it kept receiving. The blush just didn't work for me I ended up giving it away.

I will say once I say their new shadows I decided to give them a second chance. I can be head over heels for almost any shadow so long as the pigmentation and consistency of the product are easy for me to work with. Plus there was this really sick Gold I needed to have.
Nars - Mélusine Eye Shadow
Pale Silver Lilac - Bright Deep Purple
You already know I'm heavily attracted to purple, it wasn't a question that I was getting this one.
The purple is more of a sheer wash. For more impact I'd definitely consider mixing it with water or a mixing medium for more intensity. Same for the silvery color, they work well together though. But honestly there are so many versions of these two shades if you ask me I'd skip them entirely.
étrusque - Single Eye Shadow
Antique Gold
As you've been able to tell from any of my previous posts I'm on a metallic kick...hello...in the cart with étrusque! You know looking at the pictures the Nars single shadow look so tiny...aww cute.
I do love the look of this gold, it's light enough that I can pull it off during the day at the office, at night I can wear it wet for super glamazon power. It's really blend-able as well so it works well when your adding to existing colors on the lid. It won't over power the look of the eye. It's pretty subtle. I want to try this wet so I can give my full assessment in the meantime check out this gold if your in the market for a sheerer version you can  wear anytime.I still prefer MUFE's gold versions to the Nars but that's just my opinion.
okinawa - Triple Eyeshadow
I really wanted this because of the name. Growing up in the eighties I watched the Karate Kid at least a million times. I love Mr. Myagi duh pay homage peeps! OKINAWA!!!! wax on wax off...okay back to the shadow.
Silver - Deep Cobalt Blue - Black Onyx
this is your eye for the night, period. I'd use the silver all over the eye, the cobalt blue in the crease and line with the black onyx (wet). I'd even do a split eye with half blue and half silver with the onyx in the crease. There are quite a few options for Okinawa, if someone has a look already I'd love it if you shared.
What do you guys think are you feeling the new Nars shadows?
