Photo & Review: Laughter Jour

It's finally May, Actually I shouldn't say finally since I'm really surprised it's already May. I don't know where my year has gone. June is next month and that means my birthday, and my daughters graduation. YIKES...well with the change in month comes the brand new launch of Laughter Jour at SpaceNK apothecary. I received a sample and I'm head over heels in love.

Let me explain why this is THE perfect fragrance right now. I suffer tremendously from allergies so during the spring I'm forced to shelve my perfumes going au natural. I can't even use a scented soap in the shower. I happen to really adore my perfume collection, I tend to feel incomplete if I don't wear any. Even though my nose has boycotted my sampling of new perfumes I had to try my press sample of Laughter. I'm so glad I used my Nasonex for this one :)

Laughter Jouer is super feminine, whimsical and entirely addictive and unbelievably light. Available in early May from SpaceNK, Laughter Jour (50ml) will cost about  $60) and features top notes of Italian bergamot, grapefruit and green pear and gives way to violet flower, roses, lily of the valley, fresh jasmine and peonies. The scent dries down to a delicate cedarwood, soft musk and sandalwood base.  The bottle is pretty simple it's a lavender glass bottle with ribbon detail, which looks good on any dresser.

Completely free from parabens, sulfates, synthetic colors and silicones, Laughter Jour is perfect for sensitive skin. It's also extremely easy on my allergies which is a huge bonus for me.




This is the third fragrance in a collection that already includes the original Laughter Eau de Toilette and Laughter Nuit. Created in 1999 by Space NK founder Nicky Kinnaird and renowned perfumer Christopher Sheldrake, Laughter has become Space NK’s best-loved scent, an iconic fragrance inspired by the uplifting citrus aromas of the Spanish Mediterranean Costa del Azahar. Laughter Nuit, introduced in fall 2010, is an enigmatic, heady and deeply mysterious scent filled with sensual spices, incense and vibrant citrus.


The complete Laughter Jour body collection will include a Bath & Shower Gel (250ml, $24) that is formulated with moisturizing oat protein, hydrating glycerin and antioxidant polyphenols from pomegranate to gently cleanse and leave skin delicately scented; A Body Lotion (250ml, $28) that is enriched with a skin-conditioning blend of candelilla, jojoba and rice bran, sweet almond oil and shea butter for smooth and radiant skin. Antioxidant polyphenols from green tea, argan extracts and B, C and E help to protect the skin from free radicals. A unique polypeptide complex helps to firm and stimulate skin renewal; and a natural cane sugar in the Body Scrub (200ml, $30) exfoliates dead skin cells and rinses away easily while moisturizing argan and sweet almond oils protect the skin from moisture loss.
