Who is dBeauty Junkie?

Basically it's me, Aimee A. I'm a married mother of a 14 year old. 

My good friend Jasmine introduced me into the world of good makeup five years ago. She was horrified by my insistence that white eyeliner would come back and immediately dragged me into Sephora for a make over. I've been addicted ever since. 


I started this blog after the NY Makeup Show in 2009 many of the brands complimented me on my conversation and my humor. I started this to document how quickly my addiction to makeup has grown and how good I am getting at it. 


I don't pretend to be a makeup artist or skin care consultant. These are my personal opinions of products I actually take the time to use. 

What camera do you use? video camera? 

I use a Fuji FinePix 1000sd it's a pretty old camera however used in Macro and Super Macro mode I get some really great shots.

I do use a FlipVideo camera my husband bought me one Christmas. I doubt I will ever use anything else since this video camera has a photo from our wedding on it. Loves!!

How old are you?  Where do you live?  What do you do?

First it's rude to ask my age LOL however since you all have been with me since forever I guess it's fair to ask. I'm 31, I live in New Jersey and by definition I am an executive assistant for an investment boutique in Manhattan. It pays for my addiction but isn't my passion. I would love to attend MUD academy. 

You mention fertility treatments, what's that about?

Yes I am currently undergoing various fertility procedures trying to have another baby. Usually this accounts for why I am either moody or my skin is acting up. 

What is your eye color, hair color, skin tone? 
Do you wear contacts? What is your ethnicity?

My eyes are brown most of the time, I do wear contacts both clear and gray ones. I happen to be blind as a bat without the good hearing. If I didn't wear contact I'd be wearing coke bottle glasses so I'll stick with contacts. 

My hair color is mousy brown, needs some serious work. If your a hairdresser that needs practice I'm your hair guinea pig LOL.

I'm Puerto Rican and Native American. Native American on my father's side. There is some Navajo out of Phoenix. I'm doing more research on this part of my life so I'll get back to that at some point. 

My skin tone, I like to say I'm "café con leché" however close friends and relatives like to say I'm pale as anything else. I will stick with tan with a yellow undertone. :D case closed.
